Shorelocks has a number of salon policies to ensure our client’s comfort, health and safety before, during and after your visit. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously and want to ensure Shorelocks is a safe, friendly, professional and convenient environment for all guests.

For your safety and comfort certain services have a minimum age requirement. All clients aged 16 and under must have a Parent or Guardian on the premises for the duration of their stay. We do not offer hair colour services to under 16 year olds.
Arriving for your appointment
Please arrive for your appointment 5 to 10 minutes early to relax with a drink, and to complete any paperwork we may need from you. If you arrive late for your appointment, we may not be able to accommodate you, and you may still be charged.
Appointment amendment policy
We really value our clients and your appointments are very important to us. Prior to each appointment, time and preparation are often needed to deliver the best possible service. Please understand when you fail to arrive for your appointment or cancel without sufficient notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that time, incur significant cost, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive service. For this reason, we respectfully ask if you are unable to attend your appointment, or need to reschedule, please let us know 48hrs beforehand.
If less than 48hrs notice is given, we reserve the right to charge you in full. Where a deposit is taken, that deposit may be forfeit when cancelling or moving an appointment to a later date or time.
Consultations & Patch Tests
To ensure our client’s health, safety and comfort, we may require you to complete a Consultation form &/or Patch Test form before a colour service is performed. Certain services, such as hair colouring, require a Skin Patch Test to be completed and on record at least 48 hours in advance of an appointment. An additional Patch Test may then be required every 6 months, or if your medical history changes. Appointments that require a Consultation and Patch Test cannot be undertaken until these are performed.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Where a deposit is taken for an appointment, the appointment cannot be moved to a later date or time without forfeiting the deposit.
If for any reason you are unhappy with your service, please do not hesitate to let us know within 7 days of your appointment, and we will happily rectify it free of charge. For corrections to be free of charge they must be completed within 14 days of your original appointment, where Shorelocks availability allows. Due to the nature of salon appointments and services, we are unable to provide refunds, but may, at our discretion, provide Shorelocks Gift Vouchers for a value up to and including the amount paid for the original appointment.
Discounts are applied at Shorelocks’ discretion and can be withdrawn or modified at any time, without notice. Any discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount, and are non-transferable.
Gift & E-Gift Vouchers & Cards
Shorelocks gift vouchers and gift cards expire 12 months from the date of purchase. They should be treated as cash, as lost or stolen vouchers/cards/e-cards cannot be replaced. They are non-refundable.
Any children under the age of 16 years must be supervised by a Parent or Guardian at all times for the duration of their visit.
