Balayage is a freehand technique using bleach or lightener on your hair (in combination with your desired hair dye colour) so you don’t get harsh regrowth lines like with traditional highlights. It provides gorgeous coverage with much softer lines, allowing it to grow out beautifully. It’s a lower-maintenance hair colour process.
Balayage is brilliant if you want to brighten up your natural hair and a classic application will do that perfectly.
Compared to other techniques, balayage highlights’ results are elegant and subtle. As a Shorelocks client, you can wait longer between visits because your regrowth line will be very diffused. Although balayage highlights aren’t new and have been around for a long time, balayage is definitely the very ‘on-trend’ way to achieve young, organic and dimensional colour.
Versatility
Balayage highlights are the most versatile option. You can have them to achieve a stylish ombre look or more natural-looking highlights.
Non-allergic
Balayage is a hair-lightening technique that avoids using bleach directly on the scalp. Because bleach is applied below the roots, it only affects the hair and not the skin. For our client’s health and safety, an up to date skin patch must still be on record at least 48hrs prior to your colour service.
Low-maintenance
Balayage has no strong regrowth lines and it grows out beautifully, allowing you to wait longer between appointments. Great for today’s busy lives!
Time & cost effective
Balayage highlights look more natural as they grow out because they are not placed directly on the hair root. Compared to more traditional highlights services, you can go longer between touch-up or full re-do appointments. Extending the time between your highlights appointments saves you time and money.
